    My name is Amanda Curry and I currently live in the Greater Los Angeles area. I am a diehard sports fan. I'm a go-getter, I love challenges, being creative, and I'm all about learning new things.     • Developed and designed the first ever mock-ups of the NFL’s official Snapchat Discover channel.
       

    • Assisted in launching the NFL’s official Snapchat Discover channel by utilizing design, animation, writing, and content development skills.

    •  Helped launch 8-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony's new digital lifestyle magazine, ThisIsMelo.com.
       
    • Edit all original articles featured on MELO, personally curate all aggregated content, and conduct interviews with today's top tastemakers to be featured on the site.
       
    • Manage all social media platforms for This Is Melo including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Spotify, as well as create engaging social content such as cinemagraphs and GIFs.
       
    • Received 333,758 website views in the first 10 mo. of launch due to quality content and a strong social presence. 
       
    • Garnered 36,351 social followers on the MELO channels by consistently posting engaging copy.
       
    • Brought 14.9% of the overall traffic to MELO with my 27 original articles, one being the overall most-viewed article.

    • Under Our Skin sold out on Amazon within a month of it's launch as a result of the digital marketing campaign I designed and executed to promote pre-orders and the official launch.
       
    • Created custom quote tile graphics to help promote the book leading up to the release.
       
    • Developed mini-activations to encourage pre-orders and engage with fans prior to the release.
       
    • Created a consistent posting calendar to keep fans invested and constantly remind them to pre-order the book, while working to reach new fans as well.
       
    • Increased Watson's mailing list by 433 subscribers and sent out bi-weekly email blasts to his audience to promote the Under Our Skin pre-order campaign.
       
    • Increased digital presence of Under Our Skin campaign by placing an ad on the homepage of TheBenjaminWatson.com, creating list of social influencers following Benjamin on social to help with promotion, reaching out to blogs to be part of launch team, and having our content team create new promotional social banners.

    • Increased the number of likes and average reach on Bradley Quad’s Facebook page by over 100% in two months as a result of creating and managing two engaging social media competitions and marketing campaigns.

    • Raised $80,000 for the team and saw a 23% increase alumni participation by directing, editing, and promoting weekly mini-documentaries, which strengthened the bond between distant alumni and current team members.
       
    • Saw above-average attendance at events by creating promotional videos, press releases and social media materials.
    • Gained a record number of attendees at hosted tournaments as a result of writing tournament announcement letters seen by over 1,000 people
       
    • Raised over $2,700 for a Peoria non-profit in a span of two days as a result of the creative and engaging fundraising competition I developed and managed, which achieved participation from over 50 colleges nationwide.

    • Garnered 221 “likes” on the Facebook page in one month and a total of over 500 individual participants as a result of writing creative content, implementing unique hashtag themes, and designing sharable graphics.
       
    • Increased the number of “likes” on the Facebook page from an average of 5 likes/week to 76 likes/week by writing a creative and engaging Buzzfeed article to promote both the race and the Facebook page.

    • Advised the Peoria Chiefs on creative and innovative ways to use social media to attract a bigger audience. 
       
    • Developed a social media campaign and pitched the concept of a Peoria Chiefs Snapchat account.

Some of my awards include 2nd place in the nation in rhetorical criticism, 3rd place in the nation in persuasive speaking, 4th place in the nation in informative speaking, and 9th best overall speaker in the nation.
